Faculty of the collaborating centre was a part of the National Adaptation Committee of IMCI. India’s IMCI, is newborn centric and indeed it is reflected by including ‘N’ (neonatal) in its IMNCI. The faculty of the collaborating Centre is represented on the Government Committee on developing operational plan of IMNCI. The Centre is assisting its evaluation and the lessons of the WHO pilot project on pre-service training in MBBS curriculum conducted at four medical colleges. Recently, a meeting was held for dissemination plans of the project.
