Our center runs a 3-year, post-MD fellowship program (DM Neonatology) since 1999. The program aims at preparing a cadre of committed pediatricians in the country who are well trained in different aspects of newborn care from intensive care to community newborn care. There is ample emphasis on training in research methodology (click here for curriculum). These trained neonatologists will take the movement of newborn care forward in this country.
There are two categories of candidates admitted into the programme - general and sponsored through a nation-wide competition two times in a year (click here for recent positions www.aiims.edu). The number of vacancies generally varies.
Our trained fellows are working in the country and abroad.. We have seven fellows in the programme at present.
